On behalf of professional women across America I am gravely disturbed that Senator Clinton is so blinded by her own aspirations that she is willing to enable the most harmful workplace environment for women. If she had the leadership skills and experience she claims to have, she would know she needs to send a strong message on behalf of women in the workplace. This is so shameful and is the type of behavior that breeds apathy - let's move on to someone who does understand leadership and the burden of responsibility that comes with the position.

In my career, I have many times provided leadership to set the expectations of workplace behavior, set an example of appropriate behavior in the workplace, and take immediate, decisive aciton if those expectations are not met. I have had to take action to prevent inappropriate behavior of individuals in executive leaderhsip roles although it was certainly not a career enhancing action. I concur with the quote above. I wonder how many of the commenters here would like to be proven "guilty", without a trial, simply because someone accused them of something. Each and every one of us is entitled to due process.

I think campaign donations can be a bit of an issue when they come from individuals from a particular company. I work for a company and my donations to Senator Obama are personal donations and have nothing to do with my employment. With that said, I do wonder why anyone would think that Hillary is an absolute champion of women's causes. This article reminds me of the sexual harassment accusions of Bill Clinton. Hillary certainly didn't stand up for Paula Jones and other women who accused her husband of sexual harassment. They got run over by the Clinton bus. You can admire Hillary for staying with Bill, but I can't imagine how I would stay with a man who had a 12 year affair, was accused of sexual harassment more than once, and lied about being involved in a sexual relationship with a young intern at the White House. Most feminists and most women would have been long gone, but she stayed, likely to further her political career. Hillary is a champion of women when it suits her. Hillary's supporters will say that Ms Clift appears to be an Obama supporter and maybe she is but I don't understand how you could not be myself. He has run a far superior campaign, he has brought republicans, independents and all races, genders, ages together to change our country. The people who say that he is just talk have clearly not done due diligence. If you are going to attack someone find out what they have to offer first. He has a very detailed Blueprint for Change (like how Hillary lifted the blueprint term recently) which breaks down his positions and solutions on all of the major issues. It only takes a click to educate yourself before attacking in an uninformed manor as most of Clinton's supporters and Clinton herself have been doing.

I personally am not surprised that Clinton would take money from a company like this. Clinton will do whatever it takes to win, too bad for her the American people know that and are showing that trying to win just to win, at any cost, is not the way to the White House. I guess some supporters of Hillary will say that the ends justify the means, I don't believe so. Whether you like Obama or not again, how you could not like him is beyond me, it seems like sheer stubbornness to me rather than really understanding what he has accomplished. If he can pull all of these people together as a candidate for the nomination think of what he can do in the White House with the members of congress and with other nations. I really liked Clinton but then I did my research thoroughly before making my decision and no the media didn't make me vote for Obama, I read through both of their positions on their websites and I watched their speeches and I looked up some stuff on factcheck.org and I came out of it realizing that they have the same dreams or aspirations for our country and they plan to achieve those dreams in similar ways. I really felt as though Obama wants these things because he cares about us and Hillary wants these things because she thinks it was what we want to hear. I felt that he was far more sincere and is far more interested in ending the bipartisan blockages that keep occurring in our government.

Wow, that was very long, and maybe not as intelligible as it could have been but I'm not going to edit or review it because those are my feelings and thoughts at this very moment. I feel very passionately about Obama and this primary season. It was the first time I'd voted in a primary and although my state chose Hillary I can sleep at night because I know that I voted with my head and not my uterus.

To me, $170k is a lot of money. Like about what I'd make, pre-tax, for three years' salary.

But as a candidate for the Presidency, she must be able to raise all kinds of funds at the drop of a hat.

This, to me, points to the cluelessness of most candidates (as well as our current President) -- everything is a marketing opportunity. Either you seize and control it by being proactive, making wise choices and being ready to carefully, competently and articulately present your ideas. Or you let a situation control you by either acting foolishly, or by failing to act, failing to speak up.

Even now, the story is not complete. She could today, announce she's returning the money. She could apologize to her constituents for taking so long to get to that point, but then re-confirm all the things the posters above had said.

As a lawyer, she knows all about guilt, innocence and perception.

She'd lose some of the goodwill, she'd be accused of capitulating, but she'd still be able to stand tall and say "I'm doing the right thing. Their guilt has not been determined, but I want to take a stand for my principles. I'm sorry it's taken so long to get this done." Corporate contributions are illegal in this country, which means that the figure quoted came from individual campaign contributions of people affiliated with the firm, up to the $2,600 limit. I remember the United States Consitution saying that people were innocent until proven guilty. The article points out that these are, and currently still remain, allegations concerning improper judgements in the workplace. Yes, that would probably be over the top and considered quite absurd, particularly concerning allegations where nothing has yet been proven. The past criminal record of the CEO should not even be considered substantial reason for her to return the money; this is one person, albeit a figure-head, within a company of many. Is he the sole contributor? No, the contributors were the individuals in the company. When Sen. Clinton rejected the support of a known anti-semitic during her run for senator, it was because the person was a not an alleged anti-semitic, it was proven so. In the first place, all that we have from the government (more about this later) is allegations; these allegations have not been proven in a court of law, even after six years. Secondly, the donations were not made by IPA, they were made by several employees of that firm. Third, the timing of the case seems more than a little strange: The women doing the complaining say that they had been victimized for years, yet the case was only brought in 2001, right after President Bush took power. As far as Bill Clinton's impeachment goes, that was just a political vendetta; impeachment. under the Constitution, is only justified if there has been a high crime or misdemeanor, i. e. a very serious offense. The article states that the monies were contributed by IPA officials and family members. - Hillary took money and kept it and 103 women can't all be in the wrong; Innocent or not until proven guilty - Obama returned the Money/Gave it to C-h-a-r-i-t-y. Stick to the basices and the issues and the meaning of Right and Wrong has not changed - we were all taught this in school (most of us who completed our education)
- Someone mentioned zombies a while back. The only zombies are again, those who blindly follow and don't question, and turn a blind eye to wrong-doing, no matter who it is. Who still thinks there are weapons of mass destruction hiding in Iraq somewhere?
- I think America is the best country in the world, but we are losing ground. I have to explain to my colleagues in Europe and other countries why we voted for and elected GWB (not me included). The rest of the world is watching this election too. Will we let the narrow-minded, robotic and unthinking minority in the country keep putting the most unethical candidate in office? If it is Sen.
