Now we know why the Senate voted for retroactive immunity for the telecoms in the warrantless wiretapping scandal: they won't even police their own.

It's time to start working on term limits. Congress has become a too-cushy job rather than the service to one's country that it was intended to be by the founders of this country. When congresspeople whine about having to work the same hours as thee and me and ignore their duty to uphold the Constitution, stand firm against lawlessness, and devolve into mere toadies for corporate interests, it's time for a change.

I think Sen. Craig is still not telling the truth about this ordeal. Just think about it...if you were minding your own business in a public restroom stall and not breaking any laws, and somebody flashed a police badge under the stall divider, why would you suddenly exclaim NO! NO! as Sen. Craig did? If you are completely innocent, then should'nt your reaction to seeing the officers badge be of a curious nature and not of a defiant nature? Sen. Craig is playing everyone for a fool.

OMG ! He does this thing and then pays the legal fees out of his campaign funds. That is where the special treatment begins. Had I found myself in the same situation I could have gone broke representing myself ! The average person certainly could not afford to appeal to the state level to withdraw his guilty plea. And c'mon, this guy is too smart not to have known what he was doing when he entered that guilty plea. And then there is the human issue. Society forced this man to marry a woman. Then the misery is spread to an innocent wife who thought she was getting a heterosexual husband. A family with deep issues and a man who is full of self hatred, constantly fighting against his own spirit. Let's learn from this. In a perfect world this man would have never married and everyone would accept and love him, after all he is the way God made him. The people who seem to talk about God the most seem to be able to hate and judge the most. How ironic. I claim no certain religion by my soul tells me to love and accept-it is what feels right, but im viewed as left. Pun intended.

I support Senator Craig and his fight to clear his name. What did the Senator do to indicate that his intent was to have sex- just becaus ehe tapped his foot, reached down and picked up paper, these are not indicators. The officer acted to soon and should of waited until there was a more clear cut proof or used video or something to record the event. Then there would be no question.

The fact that a representative of the people of the United States was caught in a criminal act did not even enter the picture. Should this admonishment at least have taken this into consideration? That even if found innocent, he should never have been in such a situation to begin with? Especially if he was on government business at the time?

Sen Craig should be honest about everything, the public is most likely to forgive him for that, but he seems to be digging a bigger hole for himself every day.

I apologize to all my fellow constitutents for voting for this fraud. He is dishonest to the core. Now paying his PERSONAL fines for his misconduct from campaign funds in my opinion is unconscionable. He is too arrogant to consider resigning so I believe he should simply be impeached.
