We need to meet this challenge with deadly force. We can not talk to these people. In order to carry on a viable conversation, both parties must be of sound mind with like objectives. How do you talk to people that will strap bombs on teenagers & young men that have hardly had a chance to live? Then promise them that God will be at the pearly gates to slap them on the back to congratulate them for killing infidels. If we show any weakness at all, they are emboldened. They are all the more likely to attack even more to further weaken our resolve. We can become passive & say, let's talk. Then we can wait to see where they strike next. The planes were just a 1st strike to check us out. Next time the loss of life could be in the tens of thousands. I myself believe that there are many things that make Bush deserving of a boot on his backside, but his big set of kahunas has kept another attack from coming. We should send another 100,000 soldiers to Iraq to knock down the militants cold. We need to kick arse & take names. Forget international outcries. We could go in there & wrap this up in 3 months. Then cut troop levels by 3/4. The remaining well armed troops can train Iraqi military & police. We also need to keep a running tab that can be paid off in oil. Freedom does not come without cost. The Iraqi government should compensate every fallen soldier's family to the tune of say....2-5 million bucks. It is time to show the rest of planet earth who we are. After the severe beating of Al-Queida, we need to beat our chest & ask WHO'S NEXT with bared teeth!!!!!!

"Mainstream" Islamic theology has "been settled" for three centuries. The goal of Islam is an Islamic world, with Islam the religious and civil law for all. You can't fight a war forever.

Terror isn't something you can back into a corner, and it isn't something that can sign a peace treaty.

You cannot declare war on an idea because ideas cannot be killed, beaten or destroyed. They cannot be extinguished, removed or erased.

To declare a War on Terror, is like saying I declare war on fear itself.

As long as Humans exist, there will be evils. War being chief amongst those.

Roughly three thousand people died on 9-11. How many are we going to kill ourselves before we are satisfied? We aren't protecting anybody, we're just outsourcing the suffering to another country that wasn't even related to it.

You can't torture, hold without charges, or kill an idea. But you can do all of those things and more to a person.
