The facts are that the hatred of Americans by the Afghan people is completely justified based on our Government's treatment of them during the Cold War. We trained them to fight their Soviet enemy, but once that was over we in no way helped them repair the damage that the Soviet War caused in their country. We made promises to help them, and left in their hour of greatest need.

The neocon movement in american politics has done this time and time again when there was no profit in applying this "nation building". had we done what was right and helped Afghanistan rebuild back in the 1980s, now it would not have the hatred of the US so deeply ingrained in their culture. This is true in other areas of the world as well, Central and South America, Iran, and Southeast Asia.

To compare these people to the Columbine kids is preposterous, and displays the "american arrogance" that those around the world hate so much. Reality is that the US society is absolute crap: Me first greed, scripted Reality TV addicts, uneducated masses thinking they are intellectual because of unjustified self confidence, homelessness and hunger on our streets (many of whom are our veterans), and this belief that the American way of life is better than anything that could ever be developed or has been developed is not accurate. our society is morally bankrupt when religious doctrine is used as a prop for morality but none of the people practice what they preach, and instead use God as a weapon against homosexuals, abortion, and those in other countries who dislike the american government because of how it treated them.

The ignorance of people as to why these ideologies exist is astounding, and is an even larger obstruction to creating a world peace for the benefit of all.

Wow... Got to love this country and all its idealogies, all its ignorances, all its arrogances. Of course our country the US of A (United States of America) has helped many other lands, governments, people. Of course our country has made mistakes, we are human after all too. Of course we have people who dont agree we should or shouldnt have gone into Iraq... but ya know folks.... Its too late. We already went in and sodomized a hornets nest and cant make up our minds to pull out or leave it in. The reality is there are people out in this world, no matter how big or small it may be that dont like the way we practice and who are willing to die and kill others to force their views as well. We do need a change in this country, but the change we need isnt going to happen from Washington DC, its got to happen from each and every human being alive in this country and and for those abroad as well. Americans are not looked too kindly these days by many places, simply because we @issed in too many peoples cherios. And now about this guy from Orange County California... Hey lets be thankful he went to Afghanistan before he started sapping into Social Service\Welfare Programs. Hope he likes it there, because it doesnt look like a place I would want to go tour. And why would anyone want to bring this guy back to be tried while spending millions? A 5.56x45mm round is cheaper and much more effective, dont you think?

we should creat another word for terrorist.we should name it "Financial Terrorist" and investigate all of those crooks in wall street who have ruined not only my retirement but also sold America to the lowest bidder.in a year we will see who the real terrorists are and i am sure they are close to my bank account than an idiot looking for his virgin camels in Saudi desert.

wow - I had no idea how many people are full of this amount of hatred - I can understand your anger toward the issue but I can't grasp all the other junk thrown in. No one in the US expects a true southerner to be a democrat so we know TX is out when it comes to OBAMA. But let it go - he will win - this mess we are in will be fixed until the next Republican is elected and the cycle starts again - If we are going to blog here all day - someone please explain to me how Bush wont he 2nd time. Money or his Florida brother? We have to make sure that doesn't happen again - 8 yrs for the Democrats 4 yrs for the Republicans and everything will be fine.
