I wouldn't worry too much about his charitable giving. We can never find our charitable receipts and so don't claim nearly what we give. Not saying that's his reason, just a possibility.

John Kerry's was just his income not a combined (husband + wife) income as is Bidens.

Relative to the rest of the other congress crew, the Bidens still have the lower end of the income benefit.

I really really really want to see S. Palin and T. Palin income tax.

The husband (T. Palin) is a high school graduate. The wife attended 6 colleges in 5 years to receive only (ONLY) Bachelors degree ... huum... in journalism.

I don't know why the MSM keeps saying she is 'common person' ---- who in the world attends 6 colleges in 5 years for one degree? That is not COMMON!!!

It would be great if they attach their IQ score with their tax return !!!

If the Party keeps her income under wraps they're probably afraid of what the public might think... just like if she gave more interviews she wouldn't be as impressive as with those canned speeches the Rebublicans have grown so fond of using to protect G.W.B. from interviews.
A lack of publicly accessible information seems to be part of the GOP's modus operandi lately, and it works as long as people believe the statements released without doing any research.

I really don't see how his charitable contributions have to do with anything. We normal folk contribute but usually don't claim them on our tax forms. WE contribute because WE believe in the cause unlike the wealthiest 2% of americans who are constantly trying to find a way to deceive the government; anything to prevent contributing to the National Debt via TAXES!! TAXES are paying for this way----no I forgot because the wealthiest of americans are so selfish WE are borrowing money from China, Japan, etc. to pay for this horrendous misjudgment by our President.

Time to move on. Elect someone you can respect.

Including that word ihat implies she has agreed to release her federal tax returns, but presently has not done so. However, I've never read anywhere that Palin has ever agreed to release her federal tax returns.

Whos this "we normal folks". I would venture to guess that most of us report a good portion of what we contribute, and the percentages are a fair picture of our perspective of what we think the government should do for us. I would also guess that the majority of those who think the fed should pay for everything including your health insurance, are the smallest givers to the charities right next door to them. I don't believe we need a president who thinks hes doing his part by giving less than .5% of his income to charities. His idea of fairness is when he can decide who makes too much, and needs to give more to the less fortunate, and he expects the government to spread this cash out more efficiently than the charities hes not willing to lift a finger to help do? What a hypocrite!
You didn't mention John Mc's income. over 27% on average in the same time period Obamas at less then .5%? And you guys write positive blogs for Obama from that information?

I think her income is very pertinent here since she continues to compare herself to us "Middle Class Joe Sixpacks and Soccer Moms" Look her up on Wikipedia, I wouldn't think that someone with a net worth of over 1.2 millon fits into that category. Additionally, her staying in her home for almost one half of the year and then charging for it is disgraceful. Do we really believe that she was working the entire time? I wonder if this practice of hers would continue in the White House? Hopefully, we won't have to find out. Lastly, if you look at Mr. Biden's Wikipedia profile, he should admired how he handled his role as a single parent after his wife and one-year old died in a car accident. Who cares about his "on paper" contributions.

Tammy complains about why she (assuming she actually went to medical school) has to "be good" to that waitress when she "chose" that path for herself... as if every American would have the chance to actually attend medical school. Some of us are born under conditions and circumstances out of our control that put us in either an advantage or a disadvantage in many ways; what Tammy is saying is that those who are poor chose to be poor, and those who are rich chose to be rich...this is a limited, ignorant view that has no place in the modern world. We all have a moral duty to help one another, it is in our best interest as individuals and as a society.
Tammy complains about why she should help others, but for sure she will want to have full Medicare coverage when she gets old, right? And she will demand that her government (through all of us) pay her tab for healthcare when she needs it, right?
