He's alienating anyone in the West who is Islam and many Americans who do not necessarily support our current government.

This will be the ultimate downfall of al-Qaida, not their anti-imperialist stance, with which many in the West happen to agree, but this kind of totalitarian view. It wasn't Hitler's view of a NAZI Germany that destroyed the Third Reich but his willingness to destroy anyone with a different world-view.
So, "all Americans the enemy"?
I challenge anyone who has such a view to explain yourself, and exactly why "I" am your enemy, someone who you have never met, nor had any contact with what-so-ever. You are not my enemy, in fact, all, until proven otherwise, are my friends. This, I believe, is the view of most Americans. So what is the problem?
Al-Qaida senior leader grants rare TV interview

TOO BAD THEY GAVE HIM HIS SOUGHT AFTER WORLD COVERAGE.

Al-Qaida senior leader grants rare TV interview

"KSM [Khalid Sheik Mohammed] contends that Omar faced pressure from the Pakistani government to keep al Qaeda from engaging in operations outside Afghanistan." This and other sources confirms the fact that the ISI (Pakistan's equivalent of the CIA) trained and funded the Taliban and let them turn Afghanistan into the shithole it is today. No one ever said change was easy.

"all Americans are our enemy"...Are you slow? Not capable of higher brain functions? The statement is both irrational and absurd. How can we all be the enemy of a group that is on the other side of the globe? Did we do something directly to bring upon the wrath? Was it that bad that Americans were allowed on the Saudi soil?

Our belief systems, morality, is what they are challenging but it is time to take a look in the mirror and answer this question: Are various beliefs systems hurting the world or is it us and our fear of change that is hurting the world?

But the real thing I think that drives terrorist bonkers is that the average American (speaking from personal experience) doesn't care about the holy war that is raging against our immorality by terrorist living in mountain caves. Capture a 100 number 3's, and you will never stop the War. We are at risk, and we had better wake up here in America and take off the ROSE COLORED GLASSES and deal with the reality of having soldiers fighting and dieing to protect America. We must always remember that Al-Qaida hates all Americans because they consider us to be impure infidels. We can't negotiate with them, nor do we have to feel guilty or embarrassed that the war in Afghanistan is taking longer than we originally anticipated. eastern Afghanistan and northern Pakistan have always been difficult places to deal with. When the British Empire was at its height 100 years ago it controlled all of the Indian subcontinent except for what is now northern Pakistan. Who put the Chillabbi Family out of business? They want a medieval system of governance. All women and children, and most men would be enslaved by a handful of leaders selected by birth rite or religious training.
Last year a group of radical clerics gave permission to bin Laden to kill 10 million Americans. These clerics reside predominately in Egypt. I can not believe it is coincidence that so many of these irreligious zealots come from Egypt. They do not deserve to be called 'Muslim' since 'Muslim' literally means 'of peace' in a spiritual sense.
Since the 9-11 terrorists killed innocent people they have contravened the Profit Mohamed's edict that no Muslim kill any innocent person. Therefore they are really kifir disbelievers, not holy, and definitely not holy warriors on behalf of Allah. They are not in heaven or receiving the ministrations of 74 virgins. In fact, according to the Profit Mohamed they will be disavowed by any faithful true believer of Allah.
The one thing that Pakistan has and bin Laden has been angling to gain control of is thermo-nuclear weapons. With Yazid's statement against Pakistans government another action has taken place to advance bin Laden's cause.
Does Pkistan deserve or support? No! It is a vipers nest of conflicting interests that can only be ruled by a firm rule of constitutional law. Pakistani support of the Taliban led to the hosting of al Qaida. If anything the Talibans abuse of the rule of law has proven sharia law is a system of serious abuse. WE CAN NOT ALLOW SHARIA LAW!
Even worse the Pakistani judiciary is releasing A. Q. Khan from house arrest. He sold nuclear technology to Iran and N. Korea.
Can we afford to ignore the situation? Even more emphatically, NO!

Al-Qaida senior leader grants rare TV interview

JUST WANT TO REQUEST AMERICAN PEOPLE,...I AM FROM PAKISTAN....IF YOU THINK THAT YOUR ARE ALL NOT THE ENEMIES OF ISLAM,...ONLY YOUR GOVERNMENT IS THE ENEMY THAN COME OUT AND STOP SUPPORTING AMERICAN POLICIES WHICH ARE AGAINS ISLAMIC NATIONAS.
TODAY IN 21ST CENTURY PALISTINE PEOPLE ARE BEING KILLED AND AMERICANS ARE SUPPORTING ISRAEL.
TODAY KASHMIRI MUSLIMS ARE BEING KILLED. Al Qaeda has a problem of wounded pride ( that's putting it mildly ). Behind the anger is an existential fear of their own doubts. Rather than air the doubts, they stoke up the anger. Keeps the doubts, and the fear, at bay ( for a little while ) but they keep coming back, and so the anger must be stoked up again and again. Oh yes, and a scapegoat - never say you mightn't quite have all the truth, you might die of shame, so keep blaming the other guy. If Americans aren't to blame for the evils in the world then I must be wrong and that cannot possibly be, so Americans are to blame for all the evils in the world - thus goes Al Qaeda thinking. Ignorance, hatred and wounded pride - what a dreadful mixture.

Al-Qaida senior leader grants rare TV interview

I Think We Should Stop The Trades with Pakistan,
Cut them off Completely. That is the way it has been through all of history. But what we must do is to try and understand each other and if we still have to fight a war.... Then it has to be to Win and not fight for a Tie.. This does nothing but wastes the lives of the soldiers and civilians on both sides. It's my impression that war's are not clean and neat... That they should never be fought but left with no other choice then you have to make the price so high for the emeney when fighting that war next time won't be a option. Then once the war is fought and won then you have to respect your emeney and then do what it takes to support them. We did the samthing after WW1 and WW2 and now those countries are our Allies. But in closing you must be able to at least look your emeney in the eye and know who he or she really is and know why your really fighting
and not just because of misconceptions.
joeckel_bill@yahoo.com

Al-Qaida senior leader grants rare TV interview

If the Muslim world wants the U.S. not to be on their lands, then the choice is theirs. However, what many fail to realize, is that every nation, and every citizen in that country has the right to live in peace and safety, without fear of being harmed. This goes for the U.S. as well as the "Nation of Islam", as they sometimes call themselves. Muslims tell us they are peaceful as a whole. Great!!! Let's see it. Why is it the United States that is battling the terrorists and extremeists. If the Muslims want the U.S. to leave, and comply with some of their requests, then let's see them get up and help us out. If the U.S. doesn't feel threatened, then we would only be in another country at that government's request. And we as Americans must honor that. But until we feel safe, we have every right to fight terrorism and extremism, no matter where it is. And right now, we see a threat from that part of the world. After all, they weren't Hindu, or Greek Orthodox extremists that flew aircraft into the WTC. And it wasn't a Catholic group that took credit for it. So, to the peaceful Muslims, help us out. You're on the streets, in the villiages and towns. Step up, help us out. Make the U.S. believe you are not as a whole wanting to do us harm, and we would be much more willing to be diplomatic. Distinguish yourself as you say your religion truly is. But until you do, know that the U.S. will continue to use her military power to make sure the fight stays off our soil.
Seems to me that Teddy Roosevelt is once again right on the money with the simplest and fairest foriegn policy; "Walk softly and carry a big stick."
In simple terms, we will be your friend first, and should not deliberatly step on others toes. We want to be friends, but we nevertheless carry the ability to strike down those that do not want to be friends. I'm glad John McCain seems to think this way. He might not get elected, but at least he figured it out.

Al-Qaida senior leader grants rare TV interview

A, Michigan.
You Are right, I live and Work in New York City,
I Rent a 2 bed Room Apt. There has been fighting and wars in the middle east since the time of Isaac and Ishmail. They will continue to fight no matter how many leaders we kill. I don't tell my neighbor how to clean his backyard when mine looks just as bad. Let's take care of our own problems at home before we start telling everyone else how to live. As far as Iraq goes, we already started the job, let's finish it when the Iraqi people and government can stand on their own. Afghanistan, on the other hand, needs to be dealt with as quickly and as efficiently as possible. Most of these problem groups are derived from no more than tribes of mislead Muslims dating to the Otaman Empire and the days of the Barbery Pirates. They had no regard for Christians and have always thought they were the chosen ones above all mankind. Did you know we were at war in 1802 with Tripoli and Morroco because radical Muslim leaders inslaved over 250 American Sailors. This attitude we see today did not start around 9/11. We also messed up after the 1980's when we dropped the support to Afganistan after the removal of Russia like a rock and left it in ruins to swing the direction to the tribes of radical Muslims. Afganistan was the greatest contributor to helping Afgainisatn fight the Russians, with our weapons. We were warned early on to be careful which tribes we gave weapons and we payed for it with the Taliban and we are still paying for it. We have to work thru Pakistan and seperate the good Muslims from the bad, the same way we did in the Afganistan war. Most Mideast countries don't really feel Afganistan is a real country with a governing body, just a group of tribes doing what they want. Spank them or leave them is the question? But with 9/11 we know the answer to that question.

Al-Qaida senior leader grants rare TV interview

At first, I was under the assumption that Al-Qaeda wants all Americans dead. There is so many reasons that American interests in the middle east dictate the simple fact that the war on terror is a cover up.
The American people need to wake up, and if they do not want the world to hate them, keep their government in check. The logistics alone are daunting, the territory large, very rugged and an asset to the defense. NE Pakistan has hills bigger than most N AMerican mts and mts that make The Rockies look like termite mounds. The Pak army is not capable of doing much more than it is currently doing. The population would riot over a massive military expedition into the Waziristans or any of the others. Therefore the situation is basically static with titfortat limited attacks and Predator strikes. Each time the Taliban has emerged from the tribal zones in any force they have met serious defeat in lives and lost weaponry. Small unit sneak attacks are far more reliable and is their most effective MO. So long as the Pak ISI is in quasi-cooperation, the situation will not change. NATO cannot invade the Waziris for political reasons and lack of essential manpower. Taliban chiefs are well aware of the balance they live with and get far more international milage from propaganda and thunderous threats than from actual combat.

Al-Qaida senior leader grants rare TV interview

I do believe you can counteracted violence by additional violence, WWII is a good example of this, force may be required to stem the spread of evil for the greater good. I don’t believe you can counteract hatred the same way… Instead of combating the continuing spread of darkness with additional darkness, we need to consider bringing a little light to the region. We may as popular opinion dictates kill every practicing Taliban in the region. That Will NOT protect us from the next generation that this action breeds.

We need to counteract the potential next generation with opportunity. Build some roads. Show them how to build better conditions. Counteract ignorance with education. Give the next generation an alternative to the Taliban and maybe we can stem the flow of freedom fighters the Taliban breeds. Take away our image as a big bully and the worst they will do is fight amongst themselves. Consolidate our image as a bully and you give their cause justification.
In summation, there may be imediate cause to wield the rod. But we should also temper this with more commitment to their future, or we fuel the Taliban's cause globally.
Al-Qaida senior leader grants rare TV interview

I am all for interviews of these people. The interview allows the rest of the world to see the radical ideology and tactics they employ.

This situation will not resolve in peace because they do not want peace. Look to the history of these people and judge for yourselves their inability to co-exist in peace with other Muslims not of their sect. They can't and they wage war on each other. Sect against sect through out history without quarter. This has gone on for years. Now they have money and can export their hatred outside of their borders....even for this task they cannot resolve their sectarian issues to unify against a common perceived threat.

No...there will never be any peace in this land....only hatred. The average Islamic is not a bad person...it's just that radical 5% of their population that condems them all to turmoil and strife.

Al-Qaida senior leader grants rare TV interview

We should never have gone into Iraq! Afghanistan is where our real enemy lives! We should have put enough troops on the ground to totally occupy Afghanistan, capture Bin Laden and ALL of his "fighters" and return Afghanistan to their rightful rulers/people.

By going into Irag on some made up pretense, all we did was weaken our military by spreading them too thin!

Take care of the major problem before tackling the next objective! We are just roaming in BUSHES and deserts leaving potential targets to get the breaks to do silly interviews like this and kill our pple over there. Voting right in the coming election is very critical because we want our pple to stop getting killed and want our troupes back home. The bush govt can't get to the number 1. We know McCain is going to do the same thing the Bush did, so when are we going to get OBL and when are we going to stop sending our fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers to the slaughter house? Let's not talk about arranging protected escape route for the BLs from the US. Are we really trying to stop the war?
